The Bradford Rattlers have made one of the largest acquisitions in franchise history. In a trade that took place earlier this morning, the Bradford Rattlers have acquired All-star and award winning forward Illes Gallo from the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks.

Gallo is a 6’4”, 205lbs forward from Hungary. As a 20 year old, Illes is already in his second season in Canada.

Last season in the GMHL, Illes put up an outstanding 111 points (45g, 66a) in 42 regular season games. On top of that, he scored an additional 27 points in 14 playoff games to lead the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks to a GMHL Championship winning the Russell Cup. He led the Lumberjacks in scoring, finished second in regular season scoring and first in playoff point getting.

Illes was a member of the All-star game for Team World in 2011-12. He received the honours of Top Forward and was the second runner-up for the Uretsky (GMHL MVP).

Gallo will be wearing #22 for the Bradford Rattlers for the duration of the season.
